I once had a carb on a Johnson rebuilt on a warrantee. Six years later I had to put a kit in the carb and when I took it off, I found a problem that indicated that the carb had never been removed from the engine. And it never ran right, even though I was told they just run this way.?Take it back and tell them to go through the carb again for free. Is it supposed to be a good one/reliable/reasonably environmentally friendly? I don't motor a lot (just in and out of the dock), but seeing the oil slick and the smoke of my existing motor drives me nuts.
