Hi M-ers, In case any of you might need a good dinghy for your M15 or M17, I would like to let you know that I have a Bolger designed NYMPH for sale. I originally built it as a dinghy for our M15 LEPPO, but when LEPPO was sold, the new owners didn't need the dinghy. It is light weight, and easily car toppable. It comes with a set of light weight (shaved down and springy) spruce oars, bronze oar locks and is set up for two rowing positions. The boat is painted red with a white boot top and blue anti-fouling bottom. The interior is polyurethane varnish. It also has a British Board of Trade Plimsoll Mark on both sides so that you can check on the loading of the dinghy after adding the cases of beer, provisions, and passengers, you plan to row out to your anchored vessel. I used to row it for hours until the morning breeze picked up and we could go sailing in the M15. It's a real fun rowing machine and the ideal size for an M to use as a tender. For information, photos and comments see "Bolger NYMPH" on the Internet. Photos more information and price is available if you contact me at chbenneck@sbcglobal.net The NYMPH is stored in my garage, and looks like new. I second your opinion on the Bolger Nymph. I built one about 14 years ago with a sailing rig (Sprit sail, leeboard affixed to one side). What a great little boat. As for rowing, I didn't think it tracked very well, partly due to it's 7'9" length and partly due to my rowing ability. So I built a little "slipping skeg" which fit over the minuscule skeg that the original design called for. It improved the tracking quite a bit. My wife Robin and I have just plunked down the initial payment for a new 23 Cutter. We visited with Bob Eeg a few weeks ago and got to see one under construction. What a lovely boat! Anybody have thoughts/comments on towing a Nymph with the 23? On Tue, 2008-03-04 at 14:05 -0800, Conbert H Benneck wrote:

Here is a picture of Rick Langer towing his Nymph in Maine. It seemed to tow pretty nicely although, as you mentioned, it did look like it could have benefitted from a larger skeg. When towing, it floats so high in the water that the regular skeg is hardly in the water. http://www.htmills.com/images/LF-bluebirdandnymph.jpg I thought it was a real nice dinghy. It sure is tempting to get Connie's but I'm not currently in a position to buy any boats at the moment. (Other things going on.) Sounds like someone will end up with a great little boat, though.
