Take an appropriate piece of mosquito netting and place it over the open hatch. Take a loop of shock cord and place it over the netting. Tuck the cord under the wood that the sides of the hatch slide under. Then take your bottom hatch board and use it to hold the bottom of the netting down and snug along the vertical surface.
