Oh, Mark, I forgot to mention another lesson learned the hard way with my swamped dinghy. Don't just slide the oars in the bottom of the boat. Oars are made of wood, and wood floats. I lost one of the oars somewhere astern before I found I had a lovely sea anchor. Have you ever tried rowing a dinghy with just one oar? .........and with no sculling notch at the stern? So, fasten masts, booms, and oars to a thwart with a good bungee cord for safety. Connie
