Water through centerboard hole
Hi all, Do you guys get water splashing inside from the centerboard hole? I get it sailing and when raising it. What are your solutions? Also, got some help (on account of my pissed off back) and El Nino is looking smart and capable in his new home! Jazz
yep ... happens. tie a rag around the pennant and push down over the hole. this limits the splashing. -- :: Dave Scobie :: former M15 owner - www.freewebs.com/m15-named-scred :: M17 #375 SWEET PEA - www.m17-375.webs.com On Wed, Jun 15, 2016 at 4:54 PM, Jazzy <jazzydaze@gmail.com> wrote:

I do get water splashing up through the centerboard hole, it has not been a problem that didn't usually solve itself. Usually it drains out again as soon as I get into calmer water, or when I change my point of sail, also helps to balance the weight in the cockpit. Take the bale off the cam cleat and retie the knot in the pennant so that it stops in the hole in the cockpit sole. GARY ~~~~_/) ~~~~ Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

FYI folks ... Jazz has an older M17 with a cast iron board and the centerboard pennant comes out of the trunk inside the cabin. picture linked below shows the setup. http://m17-375.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=35000941 -- :: Dave Scobie :: former M15 owner - www.freewebs.com/m15-named-scred :: M17 #375 SWEET PEA - www.m17-375.webs.com
