Hi Kyle.. If you're looking to buy a new boat, it's prudent to check out the builder, especially if you're putting up a deposit. This applies to any small boat builder, not just NorSea. I read a bit about the cntroversey, but as it didn't affect me, I paid little attention. FWIW, I've talkedto Bob at times about my boat, and he has been helpful. If you're thinking about buying a used boat, as I have, the controversey is just an interesting bit of a man's history and his struggles during a time that many boat builders were foundering or going under. IIRC, Jerry Montgomery stopped building his boats about this time. Perhaps your best bet would be to buy a good, used boat, and not worry about things from the past.
