Methinks it's more a case of what material was used. I've seen blistering on many a premium boat...Pacific Seacraft, Cape Dorys as well as production boats like Catalina and Hunter. No doubt that there are Hinckleys and others out there with blisters as well. Before I bought Stargazer, I walked thru a boat storage yard where most of the boats had some degree of blisters. I had nightmares of the M-17 in Ft Myers having them, but happily, she did not. Dunno is a barrier coat was applied eons ago, but when she left here, after being in the water for 4 years there were no visible blisters on her. Harvey/ Ga
