Annie Westlund (NC expert extraordinaire), Frank Durant (former owner of multiple M boats) and I are going to cruise the NC on or about June 1 for two weeks. At this point the launch site is Little Current, but could change. We could also hook up with other cruisers at other points along the channel. If anyone is interested, let one of us know or post your intentions here. rick Suncat # 387 "Seaweed" M15 #337 "Bluebird" (Now for sale)

Rick Sounds like a really fun cruise but we are committed to the San Juans with Larry Y. and the North West M fleet this June. Maybe next year. E & D, No doubt this would be a great place to cruise in 2012 or beyond, but I swear someone said that boats with portable heads are not allowed to overnight in the waters. Tell me it isn't true, since our little boats would be crazy with a regulation marine head and holding tanks. Tom and Della M17 Scintilla On Apr 23, 2011, at 6:35 PM, eisenee@aol.com wrote:

what the ontario/canadian gov't has to say - http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/marinesafety/debs-obs-quick-quick_visitor-1610.htm#f summary - * Portable toilets are illegal on Ontario waters. * must have a holding tank with deck fitting for waste removal * there must be no way to empty the holding tank except the deck fitting. my POV after reading the above is you leave the porta-potti at home and use 'swag bags'. there is also this POV shared by John Clement on Trailer/Sailors Association - "Having said this, we have not heard of this issue being a problem with previous visitors from south of the border." source - http://www.trailersailors.org/webpage/36 (scroll down the the 'HEADS' section) :: Dave Scobie :: M17 #375 - SWEET PEA - www.m17-375.webs.com :: Sage Marine - www.sagemarine.org (or .com, or .net, or .us) --- On Sun, 4/24/11, Tom Jenkins <tjenk@gte.net> wrote:

We plan to head that way mid August. Will launch at Spanish and head west this time. Water will probably be lower then but maybe warmer. Looking forward to hearing about your cruise. Bill Wickett Makin' Time M17 #622 On Fri, Apr 22, 2011 at 12:42 PM, Rick Langer <farreach@optonline.net>wrote:
