Jerry, thanks for the info,I was looking at the mast and suddenly I remembered how the forestay attaches. Mine has the slot below the shroud bolt hole. You slide the bolt thru the shroud eye, into the mast hole, then fish the forestay thimble thru the mastĀ slot,thru the boltĀ inside the mast , out the other side of the mast, thru the other shroud eye and put the nut on. Lucky for me the fog lifted for a moment. I'd like to thank you and Lyle for the M12, everybody comments on how pretty a boat she is. I've had many fun days on my old one and now looking ahead to my "new 1975 model" M12. ED
