Connie, I had an English teacher in high school who would give us an automatic "F" on anything we handed in which had a comma splice or sentence fragment in it. My students (I taught science) used to joke that I was the best English teacher they ever had. Here's to good grammar! Cherri ----------

Three cheers for correct grammer and usage.
The one that always gets me is the supermarket express checkout lane that says, "10 items or less" when it should read "fewer".
In Boston there is the question at the express checkout lane if someone shows up with more than 10 items in his cart.
The question is: "Are you from Harvard and haven't learned to count; or from MIT and haven't learned to read?"
