The windows themselves were pitted and scratched? Are they being replaced?

Yes, they're pitted and scratched, and the port window also has a nasty splotch where I accidentally dripped varnish stripper on it last winter. So they're both being replaced. I hope to find someone locally who can cut them to size and bevel the edges for me. Then I'll drill and countersink the screw holes myself. But thanks for the info about Boatlife remover. I'll give it a shot. Though I might just do a test patch with Gary's suggested acetone first. It's something I should have around here somewhere... And where are my %$@*&%$ reading glasses?!!
