Michael, My 4 hp long shaft Evinrude moves Griselda along very well against wind and wave even towing the hard dinghy. The 2 hp suzuki I had was a bit weak against any head wind. The 6 hp I tried seemed to be a bit heavy for the boat. Ron M17 #14 Griselda

Michael, I have a 7.5hp Evinrude (I think I win for biggest!) 2 cycle that came with the boat. My feeling is that it is a bit heavy for the boat and quite a beast in general. But I dock the boat all season so it is not too much of an issue. After reading some of the other comments there may be a 7.5hp coming to my local cragslist soon. Robbin twosailors@att.net wrote:
