Just wanted to say hi. I just purchased a 1979 M-17, Hull #302. I'm located on Whidbey Island, WA and I'm looking forward to getting the boat out on the water. I'm hoping to join the group sailing next summer, assuming that there'll be another gathering of Montgomerys. I really enjoyed the photos and video from this last June's outing in the San Juans and Gulf islands. Lenny Corin, Orli, #302 Sent from my iPad
Hello Lenny, Welcome to the site. You are in one of the meccas of M-boat ownership, I think. There are a few others though scattered about this country. Even way down in South east Texas. Great boats, you chose well. Fair winds, Tom B Montgomery 17, 77', hull #258 On Mon, Aug 5, 2013 at 11:17 PM, Lpcorin <lpcorin@gmail.com> wrote:

Welcome to the group, Lenny. You'll be entertained and informed, as I have been , by folks who enjoy sailing and enjoy sharing their experiences and knowledge. Whidbey Island sounds like a great place to live and go boating from. I am a new Montgomery owner as well :) My boat is a 1985 M17, Hull #393 and her name is "Grace" Currently in Portland OR, but will launch her for the first time in the San Juan's mid September. I too look forward to a Montgomery gathering in the future! I appreciate the wonderful support, information and camaraderie of the Montgomery Owner's Group. Lenny: Welcome to Montgomery land, or waters! I live in Pullman and sail with Larry Yake's group. We've had such great times. Let us all know about sailing Whidbey waters, a place I haven't sailed. John, I purchased my M-17 from the gentleman who has listed these boats. He is as I have just referred to him, a gentleman. I spent three days there putting together the boat I ended up with. He is gracious and pleasant to "swap yarns" with. He took me on a tour of his other boats, of which there are many. He is a private seller/collector and extremely fair in his dealings. I highly recommend doing business with this individual. Fair winds, Tom B M-17 #258 On Sun, Aug 11, 2013 at 7:25 AM, John Tyner <tynerjr@md.metrocast.net>wrote:
