Hey Tom, I had one on my M-17. It worked great! I wouldn't leave the dock without one. There are some produced commercially but the one I liked best was one that had a unit that was located on top of the tiller about one third back from the tip. A line was then fed through this unit and tied off at 45 degree angles back to the transom. What was great was that the tiller unit had a wheel lock on it . When loose, the tiller would move back and forth easily. When you wanted to go forward, you turned the wheel to "lock" the tiller in any part of it's swing. The problem is I haven't been able to locate one. There is also another way with a cleat and some shock cord. Chuck M-15 soon to be finished
