I will be ordering, sail cover, jib bag and boom tent from Lee Sail Covers. I like the sound of the fabric and thread they use over the sunbrella I used on my Pearson-27. The fabric is weather max 80: A unique engineered polymer material designed specifically for constant outdoor use. It is extremely UV resistant and extremely resistant to fading and color loss. This material provides breathe ability, abrasion resistant and eliminates sagging. This material is also water repellant and mildew resistant, and unlike coated fabrics will not crack in cold weather. Due to this material’s special formulation it cleans easily with mild detergent. Mildew stains are easily removed with a solution of 1 cup of bleach and ½ cup of mild detergent in a gallon of water, without affecting the color fastness of the material. We only carry WeatherMax80. Eco-friendly WeatherMax fabric is 100% recyclable SEMPER FI ........ Hale Montgomery-15 #662 TUN TAVERN
hale: how long did the sunbrella fabric last on your Pearson? my mom did all the canvas work on the family Cheoy Lee 32 back in the mid-to-late 80s. when the boat was sold in the mid-90s the fabric was still in great condition. never experienced a mold problem. the boat was in seattle area (des moines marina for those that know the area). :: Dave Scobie --- On Thu, 3/22/12, Hale Irwin <hale.irwin@comcast.net> wrote:
