I'd like to plan a 1-3 night cruise on Kentucky Lake in late October/early November. Any suggestions on launch sites, anchorages, and weather conditions would be appreciated. I'll be staging out of Lexington. Mike M-15
Lighthouse Landing is a good place. They have a good launch area, showers and ect. Lighthouse is a sail only marina. Keep us posted. I'm about 4 to 5 hours from the dam area of Kentucky Lake. Have always wanted to do a fall sail. Have some major conflicts in early part of October though. I'd start at the dam and sail south to a marina on the state line, near Paris, TN, then turn back. Depending on weather, could be a close reach going down and a beam reach or run all the way back. More like 4 days for that trip. Two down, two back. Good chance to get that self steering thing working for you. On Jul 31, 2010, at 8:47 AM, Michael Murphy wrote:
