Re: M_Boats: Has anyone used the Garmin 168 GPS Sounder?
Hi Norm... I've not used the G-168 on a boat, but it was pretty popular with the locals when I worked at W-Marine a few years ago. Most liked the internal antenna over the hassle of the external one. Internals work as well even when in a car....tested in the front seat, of course. Harvey/ Ga M-17 Stargazer #294
1. Did the recent Jerry Montgomery interview appear in "Good Old Boat", or "Small Craft Advisor"? 2. In which issue of "Good Old Boat" did the Lyle Hess tribute appear? 3. Does anyone have an opinion on wind-meters? Which is preferable, an electronic meter of the Kestrel type, or a simpler non-electronic paddle-wheel type?
Craig, I just reread it again (Jerrys interview) its in the SCA. It was good, could have been longer. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Craig F. Honshell" <chonshell@ia4u.net> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Saturday, January 01, 2005 11:04 AM Subject: M_Boats: a few questions
