But, I've got to bug you with a question. First I love the name of the M-15. And the question is, how did you come to know Lakota? Thanks, Bill Hi, Bill I don't really know Lakota although I am interested in Native American culture and customs. I first saw Wokini as the title of a book by Billy Mills & Nicholas Sparks. It is a fairly conventional self-help book but with a Native American flavor. The authors explained the title and I liked it and thought it would be an appropriate name for my first sailboat. Since you live near Annapolis I want to invite you to stop by our display during the Annapolis Sailboat Show (Oct 5 thru 10th) Fair winds Bob (949) 489-8227 www.montgomeryboats.com HI Bob, I'll try to make it. Do you publish a parts list and sell manuals for the boats? I'd like to get both as my boat came with no manual and I plan to do some refurbishment over this winter. Hope to see you at Annapolis, John ------------------------------ Message: 9 Date: Fri, 23 Sep 2005 07:46:00 -0400 From: "Robbin.Roddewig" <robbin.roddewig@verizon.net> Subject: Re: M_Boats: New Guy Hi John, good to see see another land locked Virginian with an M-15. I am in Leesburg and picked up my 1981 M-15 earlier this summer in MD. I sail out of Breezy Point MD with my kids near Chesapeake Beach where the boat is kept on its trailer. I am sure you already know this but Sandy Point State Park has a fabulous facility for launching and Breezy Point where I am has a good ramp too that is available for a $8 launch fee. I have not been on the Potomac except kayaking (M-15's dont like class 3 rapids). Hope to see you out on the Bay and at the boat show! Robbin Hi Robbin, So you're the guy who beat me to Jim King's boat. I called him shortly after he sold it to you. I didn't know about either Sandy Point or Breezy Point, thanks for the info. On the Potomac the class 3 stuff sort of ends below Chain Bridge. I belong to the Sailing Club Of Washington (SCOW) www.scow.org and we keep our club boats on the Potomac in the Washington Sailing Marina just south of Reagan National Airport. It's fairly good sailing there and most convenient for an evening sail after work. Hope to see you soon, John
