Hello, Does anyone know a good way (or place) to get a hold of some small teak wood pieces (or teak plywood) to use as backing plates for the transom hardware on my M23. Teak plywood is currently used on the cockpit side of the transom on my M23 and is showing its age. I need 5/16" thick pieces. I need 3 pieces about 6" x 6" and several 1.5" x 3" pieces to give an idea of the size. Thanks! Gerry
Gerry, why not use Fiberglass or Garolite plate, available from McMaster-Carr in a variety of thicknesses? Strong, never rots, relatively low cost. Will Monty 17 Sent from my iPhone

Have you been rummaging in my lumber rack? I bought about four board-feet of fancy teak last year, and the stuff that is left is mostly 3/8 thick or a bit less. (A couple minutes pass.) It's barely under 3/8, and I have as much of it as you could want. Seriously, how did you do that? On Jan 22, 2018, 8:58 PM -0700, Gerald Wyatt <wyattgs@gmail.com>, wrote:

Teak looks nice but Kingboard in brown passes well for it as cleat blocks and needs no maintenance at all. On Mon, Jan 22, 2018 at 10:16 PM, David Rifkind <drifkind@acm.org> wrote:
