I’ve been thinking about doing the Leach Lake Regatta in N MN. I went once, probably in’79 or maybe ‘80, sailed on a M-23, and had a great time. I just took a look at the website for the results for this year (Aug 15-17) and there were no Montgomery's or Sages. In fleet 1, the smallest one, the smallest boat was a Cape Dory Typhone (2nd place), which is a neat boat but no match for an M or S, but this race was on handicap, PHRF. My question is: Do any of you fellow wrinklebote sailors have an interest in going in 2017? If so, I’d be inclined to think seriously about it myself. I know that there are a good number of 17’s in that area. Let me know if you are interested; don’t need commitments, obviously. -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter. I’ve been to the LLR for the past 4-5 years. I just got my M23 this summer. So I didn’t take it this year. It’s possible that I may take it next year.

That's regular. The tall rig would be about 1'9" longer. That surprises me; I think Tom had two different 17's and both were tall rigs because of all the lite air in AZ and Mexico.
Ha ha George. You might want to look again. 14 hours would be more like it.

If I haul my own S-17 out there I might, but it's likely I'll be sailing a Sagecat. Time will tell, depending on what Sage has laying around then. -----Original Message----- From: Jazzy Sent: Tuesday, September 06, 2016 10:57 PM To: For and about Montgomery Sailboats Subject: Re: M_Boats: leach lake Regatta Hmmm, maybe I'd head out there, but I'd be boatless...anyone need crew?
