I can see now that my sail is indeed longer in relation to the boom than the stock setup. Don't know if the PO had a different sail made, or found a used one somewhere..... Whatever, doesn't matter. The boom on my 2003 model is about 96.75 inches measured from end to end and not including the end hardware.
