Sailing the Montgomery 15 and 17
Hi, I'm new to the list and am the current owner of a Contessa 26. I am considering down sizing and am very interested in the M-17. I live in eastern North Carolina and if there is anybody near my area that might be willing to take me for a sail, I would love it. According to the list most of the owners near to me seem to be in the Chesapeake area. I would be willing to make a drive of 200 miles or so to see and possibly sail on one these boats. Thanks very much. Kirk Hill
The Contessa 26' is a fabulous boat, Kirk. You have great taste! --Craig, M17 #389 (unfortunately, in MI) ----- Original Message ----- From: kirk To: montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Saturday, October 04, 2003 7:12 PM Subject: Sailing the Montgomery 15 and 17 Hi, I'm new to the list and am the current owner of a Contessa 26. Kirk, I'm in the Chattanooga, Tennessee, area. My boat is at a marina and will be for the rest of October, after which I'll bring it home for the winter. If you'd like to come over for a sail, let me know. What part of NC, Kirk? My wife and I are from NC (Morehead City for her; south of Fayetteville for me). There supposedly is an M-15 in Oriental, and you should be able to contact the owner (and find other NC owners) through the owner's registry at www.msog.org, a Montgomery owners site. Good luck.
