No, the bimini doesn't get in the way of the boom. The way Bob set it up, there a tape mark to lock the boom in where it misses the top by about 2". The only problem is that to raise the Bimini from its stored position on the cabin top, the main sheet has to be undone from the cam cleat on the cabin threashold, the top is swung aft, the the main sheet is re-installed. Don, Do you have picture? My M-17 is a 1976 model, Im sure its a little different, but maybe I can get an Idea. BTW I wonder if Bob sells them as accessory items.
