OK my two cents worth: I could go either way on the coach roof. Aesthetically, I like the looks of the coach roof on the 15 and 17 and have not liked the vertical forward part of the 23's coach roof. I have a 15 and sail on Lake Michigan and Lake Superior so not having the opening fore hatch has not been too much of a problem -- except for the condensation. Having said this, I would like a forward hatch. I would go for the opening portlights. Tall rig. Speed and pointing are important. Can always reef... John M-15 Jester
