I have managed to generate a really tight line override on my centerboard winch on Sick Chicken - an M17. Occurred when pulling the boat for the winter. I am going to try to jack up the board on the trailer just a little to see if I can take any pressure off the line to help release it but wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions other than cutting it when out of the water and then replacing it when it’s fully down (on jack stands when I am doing the bottom). And any suggestions on replacing the line would be appreciated. Thanks! John Sick Chicken #375 Bellingham WA Sent from my iPhone
John: Bummer. I've done that a few times on #375. How bad? Wet it down maybe? Depends on the type of line used for the pendant in your particular case, but if it softens and/or gains some elasticity when wet, might be enough to help. cheers, John On 3/6/22 09:12, John Taussig wrote:

#375's pendent is double braid 5/16" nylon line. Yeah wetting may help with slipping but first need to see what type of jam exists. :: Dave Scobie :: M6'8" #650 :: Baba 30 #233 DEJA VU :: SV SWALLOW - sv-swallow.com :: former owner M17 #375 SWEET PEA - m17-375.com :: former owner M15 #288 SCRED - m15namedscred.wordpress.com <<-- new site!
