Doug, I apologize for the long delay. There was a death in my family. I currently live in Michigan. In '05 I plan to travel in a small motor home with the M15 in tow. Powell River, BC, Canada is at the top of my list. Its my kind of place; good people clean air and wonderful sailing. For info go to www.discoverpowellriver.com/visitors/ Another good place to sail is the Apostle Islands, www.nps.gov/apis/. A number of M17's have sailed to them. Don't know if any M15's have yet. Jerry M told me about them when he delivered my M15. I bought my M15 new from Jerry M. back in 1991. He delivered it to me so I had a chance to meet him. Hopefully he'll be at the rendezvous on 2005. Sorry to hear about your loss, Bud! Where in Michigan do you sail? I've been thinking I'm the lone Michigander, with my M17 over to Muskegon ake. --Craig Honshell, 1984 M17, #389 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bud" <jaczoey@yahoo.com> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 20, 2004 11:04 PM Subject: I'm from Michigan Doug Doug, I apologize for the long delay. Hi Craig: I received your message to Bud through the MSOG web site and I wanted to get in touch. I notice that you have an M17, and because I am interested in one of the M boats or the Sanibel 18 I thought I would ask for your comments re: the M17. Actually, I am from Muskegon and my Dad still lives there, so if your boat is available for me to look over I can easily get over (I am in Ann Arbor). I look forward to hearing from you. Possibly, after I have a boat, you, Bud, and I can get our boats together for a sail somewhere here in Michigan. Thanks, Ken "Craig F. In the link below there is a brief account of our family's M15 sailing vacation this past summer to the Apostle Islands . Great place to sail and the Monty performed great. Be careful the water is cold! There is a marina and campground about 4 miles north of Bayfield run by the Ojibwa tribe. I wish we would have stayed there a few days. Next trip we will! http://www.sailmanawa.com/cgi-bin/sm_view.cgi?p=166 have fun Doug L M 15 #214? "Umbra limi" --- Bud <jaczoey@yahoo.com> wrote:
