Norm, I think it will work fine. My 12 ft. kayak tows very easily. The tricky part with a kayak is getting in and out of it alongside your boat. Mine has an extra large cockpit which helps a lot. Also, I have a whitewater kayaking background, so I'm used to the balance and feel of a kayak. Your sit-on-top model should be even easier. Give it a try and see how you like it before selling it.
