Friends, I'm needing to replace the Windline telescoping 2-Step (over the platform TDL-2X) boarding ladder that came with our M17, with a 3 or 4 step, and probably a different model. I recall some very recent discussion of boarding ladders, but unfortunately I didn't save those emails (hadn't yet tried to use the 2-step ladder). The MSOG List archives have not yet been updated with this recent discussion. Can anybody help me out? Seems I recall someone had said that a WWP19 ladder was a good fit for a M17? Windline makes a 3 and 4 step ladder, that should be a close fit. But the over-the-platform TDL series ladders are not really designed to be mounted on the transom. They are intended to be mounted on a horizonal surface, and dropped over the side. And as such, they do not have a top step. Would appreciate help and information from anyone who has found a good fitting and functional ladder for an M17. Thank you, Randy Graves M17 #410
HI, i work for Torresens in Muskegon MI and we can get a wide variety of ladders, you can view our site on line or call at 231 759 8596 and ask for Rick. We specialize in sailboats and would be glad to help. I have an m15, myself. ----- Original Message ----- From: "RandyG" <RandyG@cite.nic.edu> To: "For and about Montgomery Sailboats" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 26, 2005 9:56 AM Subject: M_Boats: M17 Boarding Ladder Friends, I'm needing to replace the Windline telescoping 2-Step (over the platform TDL-2X) boarding ladder that came with our M17, with a 3 or 4 step, and probably a different model. Randy: I think you may be referring to my ladder. It is a windline model made for the WWP 19. I ordered it from them since I could not find it anywhere else. There are some pictures of the ladder in someone's site but I can't remember who.
