poor man's Teflon with epoxy
I put that stuff on the trailer bunks, and it worked very well, but I mounted it with countersunk screws (and some difficulty). How well does it stick to the epoxy, or does the epoxy form a shape around it that does the actual fixing? Giles
The UHMW I purchased did not have an adhesive backing, but instead was roughed-up on one side especially to take a fixative . . . The epoxy stuck right to the UHMW, and right to my aluminum kick-up rudder cheekplates . . . It seems to be an excellent bond . . . I'm not sure the self-adhesive UHMW would work as well . . . ----- Original Message ----- From: "Morris, Giles" <giles.morris@unisys.com> To: "'For and about Montgomery Sailboats'" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 18, 2003 10:32 PM Subject: better hatch slide
