The latest issue of Small Craft Advisor arrived today, and none other than our own Tom Smith has a great little story on sailing Tristan Jones Sea Dart on Idaho's Coeur D' Alene Lake. Well written, with a nice touch of Tom's wry wit. I would rather have seen a picture of the "lovely pump girl" that he almost ran over, instead of his mug at the helm, but otherwise a nice read. Right on! Good job on the article, Tom! --Gary Hyde 2005 M17 sailboat #637 'Hydeaway 2' We can't change the wind, but we can trim our sails. On Dec 8, 2007, at 6:39 PM, Larry E Yake wrote:

Thanks Gary and Larry. It was fun to do. I started it quite some time ago and procrastinated on it when other things (like real work) got in the way. It was fun to sail the boat and Dart's story is fascinating. I've been in touch with the state of Idaho recently checking a few facts and learned that Dart is undergoing some extensive hull work. Money is always a problem with stuff like that. When Jane and I first saw her up at Sandpoint she was on this real nice new ezloader trailer that the company had donated. Must have been a $10k trailer. There are all new state people looking after her since I sailed with Dave Crettol, who left state employment shortly after we got together. Nice fellow and dedicated to the boat. Glad you enjoyed the article. It was great looking the boat over, although as I believe I mentioned, the motor was a piece of crapola. t -----Original Message----- From: montgomery_boats-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:montgomery_boats-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Gary M Hyde Sent: Sunday, December 09, 2007 10:36 PM To: For and about Montgomery Sailboats Subject: Re: M_Boats: SCA / Sea Dart Right on!
