Re: M_Boats: Looking for Local Montgomery 23
Wayne, Are you aware that M23's are as rare as honest politicians? There were less than 20 of the original "vintage" versions made, and the second one of the new version is still being built. Too bad you weren't looking in June. We had probably the nicest old one in existence (Dvorscak's Faith) and Lilly's new Sea Cutter right next door to you in the San Juans. I was really surprised we didn't get more lookers coming down to see the boats. We scheduled the opening weekend to stay in Annacortes for that very reason. It was a rare opportunity to see all the Montgomery models together. Hopefully, we'll have them together again next June for the return trip. Well, we've done the book research on the Montgomery 23, and are very
pleased with what we've learned. What we want to do now is get the opportunity to see one up close and personal, and talk to owners. So, is there anyone with a Montgomery 23 on the northern portions of the left coast? (We're in Vancouver, BC, but very mobile.)
TIA, Wayne Saewyc
