Montgomery 23 Dauntless for sale $17,500
Hey Gang, The time has come for us to sell Dauntless. We put her up for sale about a year ago, and actually sold her for the asking price... but I was unable to go through with the sale and backed out. I should have let her go. Our personal situation is different now, and we will let her go. At this time I am putting her back up for sale and not wanting to wait a long time to sell her, for personal reasons. As such, we are dramatically lowering the offering price in the hopes of finding someone to give her a new home fairly quickly. I am going to post a link to the previous ad here. Everything is pretty much the same except she currently only has one battery on board (the second battery station is there , just the battery is removed) and the asking price is $17,500.....NOT $25K. Wow! Guys, this is a bargain on a terrific boat! As many of you know, I've sailed with Sean many times aboard Dauntless. This boat is awesome. Better than new in many ways with all the work Sean has done on her, especially the rebuilt keel and centerboard. If I had a vehicle that could tow a 23, she'd be sitting in my driveway now. Somebody better snatch this up now before I talk Sean into keeping her. Seriously, this boat is fast, with a proven race record, and seaworthy. I've cruised with Sean and Jo several times and even sailed aboard her on a couple one hundred mile races down the California coast. Always felt like Dauntless could handle anything that was thrown at her, certainly way more than we could. I hate to see Sean sell this boat; he's my sailing buddy. Sienna won't do it. You'll burn up the tranny. Darn. The '07 is the last model year that has an oil cooler as part of it's standard tow package - I was hoping that'd do it... Now I have an excuse to get a 3/4 ton truck, though!
