Re: M_Boats: M-15 Wet Inner Hull
Hi Chee, We have a M15 that we've recently purchased. The first time we really sailed the boat was at the Havasu pocket cruiser gathering that Sean Mulligan created. When we left Arizona, our boat was dry inside. We had to go through inspections and better dry. When we reached Colorado (February) there was a fair amount of snow. We parked the boat in the driveway, in the snow and she sat until last week. there was often snow on the deck. When I got into the boat last week, I noticed there was water in the inside the hull. While I don't think that rain would have entered the boat, at least not much, snow has a way of traveling while it's melting. MN does get a fair amount of snow and it is possible that if the boat was out in the snow, some could find it's way in. Just a thought to share. Let us know what you do. These Monty folks are a special group. sal M15 - "Justus" - 1986 - #361 M23 - #2 - being built In a message dated 5/9/2010 10:17:42 P.M. When I inspected the inner hull, from the cabin front hull access opening, I found the front inner hull area is wet. According to the owner, the boat was last sail 4 years ago. Is the front inner hull damp condition normal ? or there are some leaking ? Also, can someone tell me where is the M-15 HIN located ? Owner and I searched the entire hull, and not able to locate it. Thanks a lot. Chee Pang _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats Remember, there is no privacy on the Internet!
