Re: M_Boats: consider the sourse
I see that your boat is number 064 is that right???? I hear that the older boats were built a little different but still keeping the outside measurements. have you ever compared your to a new model. example the mast was changed a little in height, some had a cut out for motor. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Smith, Tom" <Tom.Smith@itron.com> To: "MC Carpenter" <southisland2@earthlink.net> Sent: Tuesday, December 21, 2004 11:02 AM Subject: RE: M_Boats: consider the sourse No problem Michael. We hear this stuff like clockwork every year--someone gets pissed off and Bob gets defensive. You're right. Can we get back to sailboat-related topics and let these boys take their business outside? t Tom Smith & Jane Van Winkle Fairfield, WA M15-345 Chukar M17-064 Unnamed -----Original Message----- From: montgomery_boats-bounces+tom.smith=itron.com@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:montgomery_boats-bounces+tom.smith=itron.com@mailman.xmission.co m] On Behalf Of MC Carpenter Sent: Monday, December 20, 2004 3:20 PM To: Montgomery Groups Subject: M_Boats: consider the sourse To Bob, don't let those discourtesy remarks bother you. I have had some connection to the Monty group and you as a builder and I have always found the group to be knowledgeable and more than happy to help in any way and each time I have called the factory for information there has always been someone, sometimes yourself ready to be of immediate assistance. It is rare indeed to find a company owner will would call the prospective purchaser of a boat to assistant in getting the proper information ready for the sale, this you did and it was much appreciated. This was something you did not need to do and you did it fully knowing that there was no commission in it, You were looking out for the welfare of the Montgomery and that is a good thing.
