Hello all, I've been a member of the list for over a year now, reading and learning all I can about these special boats. I'm ready to take the plunge for a used M15 (M17 exceeds my tow capacity) if only one were available a bit closer to Philadelphia and thought I'd try reaching out to the list before giving up and settling for any of the decent but less desirable vessels more readily available in my region. Please get in touch directly if you know of any that might be for sale to an eager young chap with cash in hand! Thanks, Will
Will, Some unsolicited advice from a retired boat salesman - Buy the boat you want - do not 'settle' because it is convenient (unless it is a suitable boat for local conditions - ie. shallow draft/ice skimmer or?) - just get in the car and make a trip of it - have someone on the list do an inspection prior to your driving out to see the boat you have been wanting! Get what you want - whatever it may be - except a Deathtrap 21 of course! Good luck - I will go back to my room now - the nurse comes to change the tv channel and give me my meds soon....
