We are the lucky people who bought LEPPO from Connie Benneck. We picked her up three weeks ago, and have had her out three times on Lake Champlain, once in no wind, and twice in too much wind. So it averages out... She came safely home to Vermont, and will be teaching us a lot about sailing over the next few years. We were glad to get a boat that was in such good shape, and with all of Connie's clever and well-done improvements, we couldn't go wrong. We are happy to have this website as a resource, and will use it quite a bit. We came upon it when researching a Com-pac 16, and were taken with how many sources said look for a Montgomery instead. Congratulations, Dave & Martha! Would love to see pics, both of your boat and sailing grounds! Are you planning on mainly daysailing, or is there some cruising in your future, ala Stan & Carol? Hi Tod At this point our plans are mostly to sail on the west coast of new England where we've found several good ramps, are familiar with the (land) area, and is close to home. We would like to do some overnights to Cranberry, Tupper, and Raquette lakes in the Adirondacks and will be taking her along when we visit friends who have a place on Henderson Harbor in Lake Ontario. That of course brings up the thousand isles area on the way back---Oh my It looks like we've got pretty much every day next summer spoken for and haven't even mentioned all the possibilities north, east, or south.Oh well with the rest of this year we'll content ourselves with learning the boat and how best to sail her on our home waters of Lake Champlain-----and maybe Mollys Falls pond, Joes pond, and Lake Elmore, or Memphremagog, perhaps Winnipesaukee,.........
