I do not think you can get paint to stick to the material, check with "PaintBoy" Stan Susman at InterLux. The material comes in various colors (brown included) but I do not know if they are making them in that color. I believe the new model 17's may be able to use the five loop model - this will depend upon the original mounting hole location. BTW, if you have the "loop" version you want, you can make your own. Use the original or one you want as a pattern. Lay it on the thickness of starboard you want to use and trace out the shape. Cut out the shape with a jigsaw, clean it up a little and hit the edges with a round over bit on a router. A router table helps and reduces the chances of a wobble that would mar the outcome. If you get the width right (from bottom or base of each loop to top), all you are doing with the saw is removing the loops and a little shoulder on each end. As for matching up the holes, clamp your original and replacement side by side and mark the position of your holes. The bottom or base will match the holes in the cabin. I'll check the alignment of the holes for the two handrails, but I don't think that the holes between the two handrails lines up with the same span.
