It is nice to see someone is paying attention. ~:0) ha Yes, an easy days drive for sure. But we already knew that eh? The closer we get, the less likely it looks as though I will be there. I have two weeks of paid time off and as of last week, they are both now booked. One for my wife who wants to cruise in June on our lake. She finishes school then and wants to take a week between school and the start of her new job. The 2nd is for my son who will join us here in August for his summer vacation. He lives in....wait for it......Edmonton. Frozen hell I call it. He needs a week every year in our Canadian Med. I love to provide him with a fill of Hot, dry, windy August weather on Okanagan Lake. Now that I think on it..... why would I want to drive 146.9nm just to sail in that salty, cold water....with all that rain and fog....all those dangerous Otters. A very large, sunny and warm lake is at the end of my street. I will keep it simple this time I guess. Maybe another time, but as I said before.....A flotilla of Inland Empire Mboaters is always welcome. I will buy the veggiebergers and beer. Hell, I will be out there anyway, some company would be grand. Oh and I really enjoyed your article by the way. Very well written. It is too sad about the other sailor. As much fun as we all have out there, the risks are all too real. Be safe folks, but have fun!
