Hey Doug, (or whoever else is interested) Did you find your camper van tow vehicle? I just found an ad for this one up here in the Spokane area. Looks like a good deal, and it even has a diesel. I'd be interested myself, by my wife wants one with a bath and shower. Looks like I'll need something bigger when I get to retire and hit the road. Larry Y http://www.recycler.com/Details/219203
That does look like a good opportunity for someone. After digesting the information from this list and researching the suggested options I decided to go the pick up truck with a Hawk pop up camper from 4 wheel Campers. The weight was the largest factor with storage costs nudging things that direction as well. It turns out the neighborhood I live in has Home Owner Association covenants that will not allow any form of a camper to be visible at your house. That includes camper van conversions like the one in your add. I sold my 2001, Toyota 4 runner with 122k miles and bought a 2003 Toyota Tundra with 63k. Now I just have to find a used Hawk. It turns out they are like used Montgomery boats, hard to find on the market. So if anyone comes across a FWC Hawk for sale that is a 2002 or younger let me know quickly. i once looked at a place with such restrictive home owner rules. in addition to allowing no boats or campers to be seen, didn't allow PICKUP TRUCKS to be parked outside overnight ... were you could park as many cars as you wished outside. this was in ohio farm country where corn fields came up to the develpment's boarders! dave scobie M17 #375 - SWEET PEA visit SWEET PEA's www-site - http://www.m17-375.webs.com --- On Thu, 4/29/10, Doug Kelch <doug_kelch@yahoo.com> wrote: ...
