RE: M_Boats: Robert Eeg's
There aren't any off-limit subjects on the list so far as I know Kyle. But the topic's been discussed, and as is often said regarding things that have been explored exhaustively (like towing rigs and which motor or anchor is appropriate), go to the archives. If you want to talk to people who have a problem with Bob, send that message to the list, then take it up with them off-line. The subject isn't sensitive, it's just tiresome. To write off a Montgomery simply because of the guy who happens to be building new ones is silly. I sail an M15 because Jerry Montgomery designed and built a terrific boat. There are many used ones out there--you don't have to buy a new one. tom Tom Smith & Jane Van Winkle Sandpoint, Idaho M15-345, Chukar -----Original Message----- From: Enlow, Kyle S [mailto:kenlow@indiana.edu] Sent: Wednesday, October 30, 2002 5:31 AM To: montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com Subject: RE: M_Boats: Robert Eeg's I am new to the list so I didn't know that this issue was off limits. I was interested in the m17 because I read some things that said it was a very good boat. I read most of this off the msog.org website. I am sure that many of you are very happy with your boat and the way you have been treated by Mr. Eeg. However, I am surprised at the number of emails I have received from people that were less than happy or unhappy. I haven't written this boat off yet but I am actively looking for a comparable alternative. Sorry to touch on a sensitive subject. Last time it came up (and it hasn't come up for quite a while), we all agreed it was an off-list topic. But I think you have seen from the response from the list that Bob's given good service by and large. If there have been others with a bad experience they'll probably get in touch via your email rather than the list. Good luck. What is the story the information I read http://www.norsea27.com/faq.htm#just%20the%20faqs%20mamn looks pretty convincing. Who owns Montgomery boats? If you purchase one will you actually take delivery? Thanks Kyle _____ This message was scanned for viruses. _____ This message was scanned for viruses.
