M15 #200, Wee Fun Lots of good information about M15 rigging but I haven't seen a correct length mentioned for the forestay. I have a lever type shackle at the chainplate which can be set at different lengths. What is the correct measurement for M15 #200? Should I just experiment until I see a slight rake to the mast? Thanks, Kevin Lynch
Kevin- I thing there is something in the archives that I wrote many years ago about mast rake. Basically, you go by feel, and rake it gradually until you can feel tjhat it's too much (too much weather helm) and back off. jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Lynch" <kevnstephanie@verizon.net> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 06, 2011 7:12 PM Subject: M_Boats: M15 forestay
