I have just been lurking here for quite some time now and this is my first post on this board. This type of thread is the reason I joined the board... to see how new boat orders are handled. Due to what I've read on another board that Bob was a member of five years ago, I have been extremely apprehensive about placing an order. I would love to get an Montgomery, but want a smooth process. I would like to hear from everyone who has ordered a boat in the past five or so years, and how well you order was handled... basically seven the questions that Tod posed. I bought my M17 new from Bob in 2005 and the process went very smoothly, though delivery was later than originally thought. But Bob Eeg treated me very well and put some extras on the boat to make up for the delay. It is my feeling that if you don't push him, and stay off his back, he will bend over backward to get you a very good boat! --Gary Hyde 2005 M17 sailboat #637 'Hydeaway 2' We can't change the wind, but we can trim our sails.
