Hi Ron, The cabin is unbelievable! There is no mast compression post. The berth is I believe 8 foot long and at the widest about five foot. And there is no keel housing intruding and seperating the berth. The boat I test sailed handled like she was on rails. You cannot launch in a puddle, however the trailer has a 5' extension allowing launches in shallow areas. I can't say enough about this craft. Get a test sail and compare for yourself. Bill
