Hi gang, After I finished my account of meeting with Neptune and his mermaids (they were real cute, but had a hard time getting around on land), it dawned on me that I had omitted something else that is, at times, a vital part of our overall M15 sailing system. That is the Bolger NYMPH pram dinghy (7'-9") that I built to use as a dinghy with LEPPO. (the 5th real boat I had built, not counting working sail boat models and countless 3' and 4' rubber band powered submarines) If you go to Maine, you can (we only could) find moorings where we were, and without a dinghy to get from the mooring to shore, we found it to be a rather wet walk. So, the NYMPH, varnished wood interior; painted red, with a white boot top and a blue anti fouling bottom has two rowing positions; one pair of 6 foot reworked - lightweight - oars with leathers; oarlocks reworked so that the oarlock angle is correct for comfortable rowing so that the oars don't try to climb out of the oarlocks on each stroke. ..........and to check the loaded weight of NYMPH, it comes with a British Board of Trade "Plimsoll" loading mark at mid length of the dinghy. The NYMPH is very easily car topped, weighing about 60 pounds. Towing it behind the M15, doesn't slow the M15 in the least. They were made for each other. It's a great little rowboat, and I have spent many a calm morning on Lake Champlain or elsewhere, rowing for miles; observing fish, birds, and land people working, while I am out enjoying myself. It is offered as a separate item. Connie
Connie, I do hope you find enough of interest on this list to continue subscribing and contributing! Tod
