Howard, One (of many) thing that need tweaking is that I didn't fully take into account the fact that as the vane angle is tilted (the wooden block clamped on the stub tube) the push rod moves side to side rather than staying centered in the mast. I need to (after getting this operating) make a new block that is more compact and keeps the vane hinge closer to the center of the stub tube (and thus reducing side-to-side pushrod motion with changing vane tilt). This thing has been hanging around for so long I don't know if I'll ever get it done, let alone mass produce it. There are some shortcomings I'd like to overcome, for instance, the oar swing is limited to about +-90 deg. It would be nice if it could go full circle. Still need to hook the thing up on Busca too. That isn't going to be fun trying to miss all the junk on the stern (motor, rudder, boarding ladder). Watching your video, it looks like you have your vane pretty well perfected!
