Finally - angle wedges under jib sheet swivel cam cleats
I put these swivel cam cleats for jib sheets on quite a while back now, but only early this summer finally made these angle wedges to level them up. Here's pics of before (mounted flat on angled coaming top); the wedges (fabbed from 1/2" kingboard/starboard); and after. The angle now is just right, pretty much level relative to cockpit seats and floor. Was angled up too much without these. Another small but significant refinement...! cheers, John -- John Schinnerer - M.A., Whole Systems Design -------------------------------------------- - Eco-Living - Whole Systems Design Services People - Place - Learning - Integration john@eco-living.net - 510.982.1334 http://eco-living.net http://sociocracyconsulting.com

Looks very nice. I put wedges under the cams themselves rather than the base. I like your way better. On Fri, Oct 14, 2022 at 10:33 PM John Schinnerer via montgomery_boats < montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> wrote:

Thanks - you've got somewaht different hardware though, also. Mine are the one-piece swivel eye and cam all one unit. So that was the only place to put the wedges, or so it seemed. I suppose I could have put wedges under the cams since they are removable, but it seemed simpler this way - also, doesn't change the angle of cam relative to eye. In your case with stand-up blocks that might not matter as much. cheers, John On 10/16/22 11:15, Henry Rodriguez wrote:
