Here's Robin with our M-17, first time out of the shop in 5 months. She painted the bottom, cockpit and deck after we did the repairs needed, then she rebedded every piece of hardware on the boat. On to mast and rigging! -Gerry
I should clarify; that's first time out of the shop for the boat, not Robin. Lol ;) -Gerry

Looking good! Yours is the one with no portlights...it appears...does it look like it came that way, or, someone took them out and glassed over the area? I almost think I can see some glass work on the inside of the port side, thru the companionway. But the outside on starboard looks very smooth (where the name is). Also I can see that yours has the same cabin top/chainplate stiffeners as mine, the glassed-in half-tubes running from side to side up and across the cabin ceiling. cheers, John On 6/17/19 10:08 AM, Gerry Lempicki via montgomery_boats wrote:

Yes, a previous owner removed them and then glassed over the holes. I heard he wanted to put in 4 oval ones, but they are $$$. We decided to leave it as is for now (other than removing whatever fairing compound was in there and cracking, and repairing that). -Gerry

Hello Gerry, You might want to look at your trailer next. When I bought my M15 it had rollers for support and launching but they did deform my hull a bit (noticeable dents). This last winter I had the trailer modified to have bunk boards instead. They support the hull much better. Just a thought.
