Herb, I would not sail an M15 on San Francisco Bay without the stern pulpit! I also have lifelines and stanchions - not as important but I like having them. I had a boom tent made which fits nicely over the lifelines, stanchions and stern pulpit - thank you Bert Felton. You can see it on one of the sites. I now mostly sail on Lake Don Pedro. I love to swim while at anchor or having the boat pull me while under sail. The stern pulpit provides handles to grab onto while climbing and descending the swim ladder. I also use the stern pulpit to secure portable anchor light and fishing pole holder. Would be great for attaching small BBQ, as well. The stern pulpit does not bother me when starting the motor or refilling gas tank but you do have to get use to it being there. In my opinion the stern pulpit was a terrific investment. Thank you Bert and Kokopelli. Rich Cottrell M15 Really --- On Fri, 6/20/08, Herb Stokes <hms152@yahoo.com> wrote:

Just curious as to your feelings about having it there. Do you find it of any use, or is it in your way with access to the outboard, etc? If you started from scratch, would you have one installed? I appreciate any information you might could give me. Thanks...................Herb Stokes hms152@yahoo.com
