This sounds like a great idea for jib and genoa sheet stowage on the windward side. I've contemplated permanent attachment points for canvas bags, but I like the idea of not drilling holes. I cut it so that it was narrower on the bottom than at the top in order to give the main sheet a bit of clearance.
