Scott, Thanks for your information. I'm a bit weak in the battery power area and your post helped. I had been considering a solar charger but I dont think I'll bother. Since I usually end up miles from home in camp grounds without electrical, I purchased a Honda 1000 generator. It works perfect to power a charger or you can use the built in battery charger if you have lead acid type batteries. Another on the MSOG posted the same solution. For me the Honda generator is perfect. I especially like the advantage of the 110V plug ins for lighting or other apliances.
